Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are pleased to share a brief update on the Hurricane Melissa relief efforts. After a long journey, we’re grateful to see the aid now reaching communities across some of the hardest hit areas in Jamaica.

Several Houston-based Jamaican and Caribbean groups, including the Jamaica Foundation of Houston, Houston Missouri City Domino Club, Association of Jamaican Nurses of Greater Houston, IRIE Community, and I Love Being Caribbean worked together to provide relief and hope.
Through our partners at Hanover Charities, distributions are actively underway. Clothing has been delivered to four soup kitchens, ensuring individuals in need receive support alongside their meals. Diapers have been provided to both the Hanover Infirmary and Westhaven Home, supporting vulnerable residents. Additionally, 40 boxes of medical equipment were delivered to Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea to strengthen healthcare services on the ground.
This effort would not have been possible without strong collaboration. On behalf of the Honorary Consulate of Jamaica in Houston, Jamaica Foundation of Houston, Houston Missouri City Domino Club, Association of Jamaican Nurses of Greater Houston, IRIE Community, and I Love Being Caribbean—thank you for your continued support and trust.
We look forward to continued partnership as we expand relief and recovery efforts.
Thank you
