June 17’Jamaica on Ice’ Photography Exhibit
As part of our Jamaica 60 celebration events, the Jamaica Foundation of Houston is partnering with Ms. Falloon-Reid to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to our city. Join us at our June 17th General Meeting featuring the ‘Jamaica on Ice’ photography exhibit by Jamaican writer and filmmaker Judith Falloon-Reid (first Jamaican woman to visit Antarctica).
The general meeting will be held at the Tracy Gee Community Center on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 6:30 pm. The exhibition is open that evening from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Jamaican writer and filmmaker, Judith Falloon-Reid, holds the distinction of being the first Jamaica woman to visit Antarctica. From her experience, she as developed a film, published two books and created a photo exhibit. The exhibit opened to high acclaim in Jamaica two years ago at the National Library.
June is National Caribbean-American Heritage Month
