We ask that you partake with us in a ‘taste of Jamaica’ by virtually sharing your favorite national cuisine and wearing Jamaican or Caribbean attire.
- We have MCs Fatta Carey and Peter Ford to set the mood.
- Look forward to enjoying music by Toney Campbell throughout the session.
- You will also hear from the President of the Jamaica Foundation of Houston Dr. Nicole Jones and the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee Chairperson Darnette Hill.
- We look forward to a message from Consul General of Jamaica Honorable R. Oliver Mair, and a few words from Honorary Consul for Jamaica in Houston K. Omari Fullerton.
- Our very own Owen “Blakka” Ellis–widely regarded as one of the top comedic entertainers in the Caribbean–is back to entertain us this year!
- Roy Rayon–Jamaican singer who has won the Jamaica Independence Festival Popular Song Competition four times–will follow singing popular festival songs.
- Last, but not least, you will hear from Vice President of the Jamaica Foundation Gloria Campbell.
